The steps
One step open at a time. Click "Done, next" to move on. The grey boxes show what the screen looks like; they are pictures, not buttons.
In the Instagram app, open your settings and look for your account type. It needs to be a professional Business account, and it needs to be linked to a Facebook Page. If you are on a personal or Creator account, switch it. Instagram walks you through it, and it is free.
Do this once. Everything after it is quick.
Open your Bulk Create design in Canva on your computer. Click Share at the top right, then See all, then Schedule.
Where to clickShare › See all › Schedule
Choose the date and the time. Pick a day of the week and stick with it: every Tuesday at 9 in the morning, for example. Click Next.
9:00 AMNextPick Instagram from the list. The first time, Canva asks you to log in through Facebook and choose which Instagram Business account to use. After that it remembers.
Only one Facebook account can be connected to Canva at a time.
- Instagram: @yourbusinessname
- Facebook Page
Canva asks which pages to publish. Check one. If you check all of them, they go out as one post. Page one this week, page two next week.

Type a short caption, or let Canva suggest one and fix it. Keep hashtags to twenty or fewer. Click Schedule.
Then go back to Share, Schedule, and do the next page for next week. Four pages takes about ten minutes.
A joke you scheduled weeks ago can land on a terrible news day. Ask your phone for a repeating reminder ten minutes before your posting time: "check what is going out today." A quick look lets you pull it.
To see everything you have scheduled, go to the Canva home page, click More and then Content Planner.

Watch out for
Business account, or it will not connect.
Personal and Creator accounts cannot be scheduled from Canva. Switching is free and takes a few minutes in the Instagram app.
Single picture or video posts only.
Canva cannot schedule Reels, Stories, or swipe-through posts. Post those yourself from your phone.
There is a daily limit.
Twenty-five scheduled posts per day per account. You will not hit it with one post a week.
Pictures under 8 MB, videos under 100 MB.
Bulk Create posts are well under that. A long video may not be.
